My husband and I came here to try the lunch buffet.
What was Good:
SERVICE: Waiters…nice and helpful! They were polite and quick to remove dirty dishes.
Host… inquired about our experience and the quality of food since the restaurant is new.
FOOD: Variety…of veggie and non-veggie dishes – including long squash with coconut and mustard seed (which was yummy)
Spice…the spiciness was well measured, more so than westernized versions of Indian dishes
AMBIANCE: there is a beautiful wooden partition piece that separates the waiter traffic area to the kitchen from the dining area
The Bad:
FOOD: Taste…seemed to have been sacrificed in the name of generating a variety of dishes. (even the raita was salty!)
Freshness…we ate there during peak lunch hour and the vada was really old. In fact it was so old, it tasted spoiled and I did not eat it.
Dessert…section consists of a strange cantaloupe custard and stale sweets
AMBIANCE: Not just boring…but just plain OLD. I think they simply kept all the chairs and tables from the previous owners. The furniture, carpeting, and walls are all drab.
